Makeup Service Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or paying any deposit or fee for makeup services with Michaela’s Makeup, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These Terms form the basis of the agreement between you (the “Client”) and Michaela’s Makeup (the “Makeup Artist”).

2. Booking & Deposit

• A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your total booking fee is required to secure your booking and will be deducted from the final balance.
• Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
• If the deposit is not paid within 3 days of booking confirmation, Michaela’s Makeup reserves the right to release the date.

3. Payment Terms

• The remaining balance is due 5 days prior to the scheduled service date.
• Payment is to be made via bank transfer.
• Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services without refund.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

All deposits are strictly non-refundable, including in cases of cancellation or rescheduling.

• 14+ days before appointment: no additional charge
• Less than 14 days before appointment: 30% of the total booking fee
• Less than 7 days before appointment: 100% of the total booking fee

All cancellations must be made in writing via email or direct message.

5. Rescheduling

• Rescheduling is subject to availability.
• If sufficient notice is given, the deposit may be transferred to a new date.
• Rescheduling within 3 days of the appointment may be treated as a cancellation and incur additional fees.

6. Travel & Additional Fees

Travel fees apply for on-location services outside Michaela’s Makeup’s base location.

• Public holidays
• Early morning or late evening appointments
• Extended service times or additional clients

All additional fees will be disclosed at the time of booking.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients must disclose any allergies, skin sensitivities, medical conditions, or relevant health concerns prior to the appointment.

Michaela’s Makeup is not responsible for reactions caused by undisclosed conditions or sensitivities.

8. Timing & Punctuality

• Clients must be ready at the agreed start time.
• Delays caused by the client may result in reduced service time while full payment remains due.
• Michaela’s Makeup reserves the right to cancel or shorten services if excessive delays occur.

9. Liability

Michaela’s Makeup follows strict hygiene and sanitation practices; however, all services are undertaken at the client’s own risk.

Michaela’s Makeup is not liable for any loss, damage, allergic reaction, or injury resulting from makeup services or products used.

10. Photography & Media

Michaela’s Makeup may take photographs or videos of completed makeup for portfolio, website, or social media use.

Clients who do not consent to image use must notify Michaela’s Makeup prior to the appointment.

11. Right to Refuse Service

Michaela’s Makeup reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services due to inappropriate behavior, safety concerns, hygiene issues, or health risks. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

12. Changes to Terms & Conditions

Michaela’s Makeup reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will apply to all bookings.
